Finance a converter dolly for connecting A-trailer combinations. Essential equipment for multi-combination vehicle operators across Australia.
A converter dolly turns a semi-trailer into a trailer that can be towed behind another, which is how A-double road trains are built. Operators in regional and remote freight, livestock and mining haulage use dollies to run longer combinations.
A dolly is a small part of a road train's total value, so it's usually financed alongside the trailers or prime mover rather than on its own. Lenders look at whether it matches the combination it'll be used in, its age and condition, and the operator's road train work. Standalone dolly finance is possible, but the loan amount may be below some lenders' minimums.
Tip: if you're building a road train combination, finance the dolly in the same deal as the trailers. One approval, one set of paperwork and often better terms than a separate small loan.
