Don't have full financial statements? Low doc trailer finance lets ABN holders, sole traders and owner-operators access trailer finance using bank statements and income declarations instead.
Low doc finance is for business buyers whose tax returns are behind, or don't reflect what the business is earning now. Instead of full financials, the lender relies on simpler evidence, such as recent business bank statements, BAS or an accountant's letter, plus your declaration that the repayments are affordable.
Lenders usually want an ABN that has been active for a minimum period, often with GST registration, and a reasonable credit file. Owning property can widen the options. Because there's less paperwork to rely on, loan size limits may be lower, a deposit may be needed on older trailers, and pricing can be a little higher than full doc.
Tip: clean, consistent bank statements matter more in low doc than anywhere else. Run your business income through one dedicated account so the lender can see it clearly.
